The P222 is a bit old in the tooth now, it was good in the Gen8 but you're not getting the full speed of the drives because it's PCIe 2.0 iirc. Then again if you're just using 5400rpm ones it may be fine. The BBU has to be put somewhere though, and it's tight tight tight in that little case.1 point

@sandwernHi did you think about P222 ? There will be probably same problem because there was problem with overheating in Gen8 too. Also based on https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/detail.php?deviceCategory=io&productid=20933 P222 is still supported and price is very familiar too in these days (about 32EUR with 1GB cache + battery pack)1 point
