ESXi v6 VSAN Cluster Update

Hello gents.

 

Just thought I'd share some images of my VSAN cluster install and inform you that I have successfully upgraded to v6.0 from v5.5 on the fly with no issues.

 

The only thing to be aware of is that v6 requires more RAM to run VSAN so ~6GB (per host) before you even have any VM's running. I guess this will be the last version for this model of hardware before it becomes untenable.

The purple light emitting from the switches is a simple mod in that they are short bits of LED strips lighting wired up to the 12v DC in, within the switch.

Very nice setup! Thanks for sharing. The hot water tank with all the pipework when it is lit up red looks like some kind of mad scientist equipment :D
