braysham
Hello everyone, Hopefully I have missed something simple. I am looking to install Windows 2008 R2 on to my Gen 8. I have the bootable DVD in the Cd/DVD drive and I am able to start the installation of 2008 R2. However when I come to install on the disc in position 5 (identified as logical disc one), I get the following error message: "Windows can't be installed to this disk Setup does not support configuration of or installation to disks connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 Port" This suggests that Windows cannot see the disc. What step have I left out that will allow me to continue the installation? If I try to use the IP, the system does not recognize my DVD as valid media even though it is the ISO downloaded from Microsoft. Thank you for any help, Patrick
