So i finaly had some spare time to install the new xeon 1265L V2 in the server, havn't used the server  before this since a dualcore celeron wasnt to any use fore me.

Anyway, the first thing i did was to run the  latest SPP2015060.2015_0605.106.iso to update the server and then i installed ESXi on a USB stick.

i'w set up a couple of VMs now and they are all running but i still cant get the CPU temp to show anything above 40C :/ is this a common problem?

the server is really quiet though :) and thats nice. but it makes me think if it will ever speed the fan up above 6% when needed :/

i dont have a windows VM atm :) gave lm-sensors a go in ubuntu but it didn't work i hope ;D

~$ sensors

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Physical id 0: +100.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)
Core 0:        +100.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

I'll see if i can install a windows VM later today :) thanks for the tip!
