Superserver 5028D-TN4T uses the Supermicro X10SDV-TLN4F motherboard, here's the compact layout

4 drive bays, and 2 places to mount 2.5" SSDs, all on Intel SATA3 (6Gbps) ports. Oh, and M.2, to speed past them all. Nice!

Top 2.5" internal drive mount has SATA signal cable handy. It appears the 2nd 2.5" internal side-mount has power, but needs a signal cable to the motherboard's available SATA DOM slot.

anyone seen prices on this?

nice that you can actually get some memory into it (if you can afford the memory)

About $1200 for bare-bones server, add your own memory and CPU.

About $1900 total if you add 64GB in 2 DDR sticks, as I detail here. Enjoy!

Does 5028D-TN4T come with a 4pin DC cable for attaching the no. 44 power socket? I want to attach it with a external power adapter instead.

Sorry, no it doesn't, but I do have a bunch of pretty detailed pictures I shared here that might help. Let us know how your modding goes!
