Trig0r
Anyone here tried 6tb drives in the Gen8 yet? Going to stick one of the WD Reds in mine tomorrow and will slowly pull the Seagate 4Tb drives out over the next few months..
jmwills
If you are running anything larger than 2TB, then a 6TB drive will work.

jmwills
8TB is the largest I've seen.
Trig0r
Yeah I did look at the 8Tb Seagate "Archive" drives but they werent cheap, 6tb was cheap enough to fill what will be an empty drive bay by the time I have finished reconfiguring the hardware.. JackoUK
Yep, 6TB Western Digital, cheap as chips, WD60EZRX in both old and new Micoroservers ... but not as boot drives.

Trig0r
Well I now have 2x256Gb SSD's from the B120i, then on the P222 I have 1x6tb, 3x4tb... Need to sort out something so I can get my optical back in, or put another drive in its place and get a blanking plate..
