MikeJ
Hi, I seem to remember seeing some people running their Gen 8 at 1600MHz. Any ideas as to why my Gen 8 runs at 1333MHz - even the original 2GB memory is 1600MHz. Thanks, MikeJ.

schoondoggy
The G1610T memory bus runs at 1333MHZ: http://ark.intel.com/products/71074/Intel-Celeron-Processor-G1610T-2M-Cache-2_30-GHz Most of the XEON cpu will run at 1600MHZ. HP uses the 1600MHZ memory as the standard.

schoondoggy
The memory part number you have listed is 1333: HP 8GB (1x8GB) Dual Rank x8 PC3L-10600E (DDR3-1333) Unbuffered CAS-9 Low Voltage Memory Kit 647909-B21 664696-001 647658-081 For the XEON to run at 1600 the memory would need to support 1600 as well. danyxp
That link shows nothing found Not sure if to return to seller or just by another memory... edit: No poit arguing with the seller, in the invoice apears 8GB at 1333; so I have to be more careful in the future. Also on the website they have the 1333 spec. correctly displayed. Edited June 24, 2015 by danyxp
