tswalker 10
Incase anyone else has a need for this, Broadcom has updated their drivers to now support VMQ in Hyper-V in Windows Server 2012 R2. KB: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2986895?wa=wsignin1.0 HP Update: (16.8) http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5249588&swItemId=MTX_be20632f280a4f5d8951c4544d&swEnvOid=4168#tab4 Broadcom: (17.03) http://www.broadcom.com/support/?gid=9 Just an overview... VMQ allows the adapter to utilize DMA to transfer data, and also lifts the spread of core processing of those queues across multiple CPUs. Here's a great series that deep dives into the subject: http://blogs.technet.com/b/networking/archive/2013/09/10/vmq-deep-dive-1-of-3.aspx
