Dashboard not displaying on Client

Hi Guys, I did a rebuild of my client PC "c" drive as it was bloated and some-where between when I did my last rebuild Server 2011 deleted my previous rebuild back-up.

So have started from scratch what a painful process.

I have re-built the PC with the same name so Server 2011 remembers it as I wanted to restore folders like I-tunes from the last back-up.

Now for my problem, when I launch Dashboard from the client PC  I get a RemoteApp window displayed with an Administrator Sign-in dialogue (see attachment for screenshot)

Previously it would just launch Dashboard I haven't seen this before.

If I type in the Administrator password it looks as though it's launching Dashboard but it disappears and I can't access it.

I can launch Dashboard from a remote session into the server.

Any ideas?

Try rebooting the server.

If that doesn't help, check the Application section of the event viewer logs, or "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Logs" for any of the "Dashboard" logs.

Thanks Drashna - rebooting didn't help.

I tried again to access the dashboard got an error and had a look at the log file.

I can see the text file it's enormous, not sure what the problem is will need to wade through it to understand the problem.

I'm going on Holidays for 4 weeks so will have a look when I return.

Thanks for the advice

Feel free to email it to me, and I'll take a look (drashna@live.com).
