I am not affiliated with either, but I have bought from both.

In both cases they came in factory sealed envelopes.

I used one key on a Gen8 and one on a ML10. Both validated and gave me Advanced iLO features.

Thanks for John for pointing me to this. Is there a sticky on what ILO does? My very basic understanding is - ILO is just a way of remote-ing to the server?

Sorry I tried to read HP's  ILO manual but that just went over my head.

Thanks for the links. Purchased 2x $18.50 keys with no problems. Saves on the shipping to Australia!

You can get a free 60-day trial advance license key to see if you really need it.  I find it silly it is not included.  But I've been using it fine without it.  Although it will be useful to install the spp service pack for proliant which seem to be a BIOS update and some other stuff.   You can't update it otherwise.

Here's the link I used to get the free trial.  It was instant, but you need to sign in to the hpe with your hp passport account.

Maybe update title to show free 60-days advanced keys as well.

sorry to resurrect an old topic - but does the current SPP contain the ILO or do I have to DL it separately?

I have tried to download but I keep getting "too many redirects"
