MSI Wind Nettop 100 - issue with external USB drive

I have a problem with my home server and the external USB drive, I hope maybe someone here has experienced something similar.

My WHS is MSI Wind Nettop 100 and my external USB enclosure is the Rosewill R2-JBOD 3.5" USB 2.0 DUAL-BAY.

While I don't have to reboot the server often, if I do, the nettop looks to boot from the USB hard drives and fails instead of the internal system hard drive. I have gone into the BIOS and set it to not boot from USB, but that doesn't help.

So I need to be physically present and unplug the USB enclosure in order to reboot the server successfully.

Is there anything else that could be wrong in my setup that is causing it to boot from USB if present?

Like to help you but have never seen this issue unless the BIOS is set wrong. Have you tried to update the BIOS for this unit as often it may fix this type of issue. That is the only thing I can think of.

Sorry, and good luck.
