Best comparing site for IT stuff is http://geizhals.at

There is a sektion for germany which delivers the most shops.

If you are looking for used ones I would suggest ebay with a europe wide search option and/or (but purely German) http//ebay-kleinanzeigen.de

Here's my settings

Power Management Options

HP Power Profile = Custom

HP Power Regulator = OS Controlled

Advanced Power Management Options

Intel QPI = Enabled

Min Idle State = C6 State

Min Idle Power Package State = Package C6 (retention) state

Max Memory Bus = Auto

Memory Interleaving = Full

PCI-E Gen 3 = enabled

Max PCI Express Speed = Maximum Supported

Dynamic Power Savings Mode Response = Fast

Collaborative Power Control = Enabled

Dimm Voltage = Optimized for Performance

Have stressed tested using these setting however 1265v2 hits 70deg c and the fan remains at 9%.

Has anybody been successful with any progressive fan increase with the above similar settings? whilst keeping the idle fan speed at a quite 9%.

Tried  Bios cooling to "increased", but idle fan remains at 23%.

On the latest firmware with ill 2.2 running in AHCI.

Thanks

Hi guys, I've just bought a HP microserver Gen8 and upgraded ramm from 4GB to 16GB.

Now I'm looking for a trusted website from where to buy an Intel Xeon E3 1265L v2.

Any suggestion are welcomed. Thanks.

I recently picked one up from eBay. Seems the price fluctuates between £230 - £300. Think I'm going to have to pick up another as my lab needs another 16Gb... curse you HP!!

I tried to get the 1265 from CCS, they told me 2 weeks, that was a few months back, I ended up getting the 1260 instead as it was in stock...

I have the same cpu now, is there anything i can do to clamp down the power of this cpu in bios or windows?

Are you running it with stock heatsink?

I was running it with the stock heatsink, I then swapped it out for the new heatpipe unit, also from CCS..
