Sorry false alarm, it seems the cpu adjusts back down to as it was before after a period of time.

Didn't realise that.

Thanks

I've just got a E3-1220LV2 from jacob-elektronik.de for just over £160, came within about a week to the UK from Germany, all seems ok (but not fitted yet). I am running 2012 R2 with the Hyper-V role, and though I would have liked the extra power of the 1265 I think it would have been overkill for my needs as the VM servers I am currently running are only using up about 20-30% (monitoring using Perf Mon) of the stock CPU, but I wanted spare power (cores) for using Plex.

The also seem to have the E3-1265LV2 for about £250 (with postage). Not 100% sure, but can’t remember seeing it on their site a few weeks ago when I ordered the 1220 as I may have been tempted to order it.

I used this site in trying to track down these 2 CPU's

Wish I'd seen this a month ago. Really want an E3-1265L V2 but struggling to find one in the UK. Amazon has given up on their one - two month lead time and just now say out of stock. Guess I'd just best watch those two sites regularly and hope someone gets some stock.
