I've just got a E3-1220LV2 from jacob-elektronik.de for just over £160, came within about a week to the UK from Germany, all seems ok (but not fitted yet). I am running 2012 R2 with the Hyper-V role, and though I would have liked the extra power of the 1265 I think it would have been overkill for my needs as the VM servers I am currently running are only using up about 20-30% (monitoring using Perf Mon) of the stock CPU, but I wanted spare power (cores) for using Plex.

The also seem to have the E3-1265LV2 for about £250 (with postage). Not 100% sure, but can’t remember seeing it on their site a few weeks ago when I ordered the 1220 as I may have been tempted to order it.

I used this site in trying to track down these 2 CPU's

Glad I could help, hope all turns out ok. I installed my E3-1220LV2 over the weekend, and all went / works ok.

Though (probably unrelated), I did have my server shutdown this morning with the "false" Critical Temp reached on temp sensor 4 error that I had just after getting the server, and had my motherboard replaced for at the beginning of the year, have had the error a few times since, but haven't been bothered to log it with HP as not happing very often, and think the last few times it has happed it may have been within 12-24 hours of doing something hardware related on the server (i.e powering it down, and physically moving it), but will if it gets worse.
