electricity consumption / UPS

Dear All,

Does anyone have an idea about circa electricity consumption of this configuration:

- g1610t, 2x8GB ram, 2x1TB WD Red, 2x2TB WD Red

- ESXi 6.0: Debian 9.0, Zentyal 4.0, OpenMediaVault 1.9, Windows Server 2012 R2 Std.

- I use it alone, just for learning and testing.

So I would like to buy an UPS about 10-15 min. running time.

Thank you!

Dear soproni, I'm using APC UPS long time and have some MUNIN statistic.

db521b4414e36bfa32e6af8f662c34e9.png

Here U may see some small steps going down "Minutes of run time", first - installed E3-1230v2 with Zalman active coooler. On that moment I had  2x3Tb WD RED, second - I've add 2x3Tb WD RED to second bay.

Depending software, all time running ESXi 6, FreeBSD 10 (FTP, Communigate Pro, Transmission), Win2008R2 (without any payload). Also U may see that power interruption present, in real time it was ~40 min long, and left for run 52 min. We must remember that it averaged schedule for one month.

So, APC Smart 750 - is a good choice for me, easy to connect via USB, easy to use.

I hope this will help you make a choice.

Dear Dani,

if U have plan to use apcupsd in linux (win, freebsd)  pls check does that model of UPS compatible. One smart thing - one virtual server may be connected to UPS (forward USB) other servers will be listen via network to get signal of shutdown.

fogadtatás ;-)
