HP Gen8 iLO NIC information Unknown

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I bought a HP Microserver Gen8

When checked the iLO i see this:

0379508228a7cf5b3352466819ee696do.jpg

In this moment i think that's wrong. I request RMA.

When arrived the new server it was the same.

I installed the ultimate service pack for proliant, but the problem persists.

Really i don't know if this message are problem or not.

¿Does anyone in the same situation?

Thanks

Is this from iLO? Are you checking with an OS up and running?

Is you OS up and running when you are checking iLO for this data?

Yes, I've get it from iLO, ESXi running, one host, 2 servers up, I'm connected from outside home network.

Thanks!

I think there are certain things iLO only grabs when an OS is running. I need to do a bit of testing.

This page displays the server IP address, add-in network adapters and server NIC status, only if a current version of the Agentless Management Service is installed and running on the server.

Love the irony you have to install an agent to monitor this..

anyway for network and storage to display info you need

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=5390291&swItemId=MTX_6c844b057aa342f5b6ac228ef5&swEnvOid=4168#tab2

once you install said agent you get other info

even in achi mode

after installing the agentless management service and rebooting ilo my fan has dropped from 19% to 13%

My inlet is 22 and i have been encoding video's with all 8 threads for the last 6 days nonstop..

Coretemp reports my ondie cpu temps between 68 and 70 for all cores..

It may well drop my idle fan from 9% to lower

I have about 36 hours of encoding left so will find out then

Yes. After install ESXi 6 is necesary install any agent or driver?? From ESXi check all components ok. My problem is from the iLO (really the problem is that i don't see firmware and state to NICs)
