Removing a client computer

As per instructions on TechNet:

1) I removed a W7 client computer from the Dashboard of my WS2012R2E, it is no longer visible in the Dashboard.

2) I uninstalled the Connector software on the W7 client computer, it is no longer visible in the add/remove control panel.

However, there is still a grayed out Launchpad icon in the popup on the lower right hand corner of the taskbar. The tooltip hovering over the icon says 'cannot connect to the server' but double-clicking the icon still opens the Launchpad and it will still allow for a login to the Dashboard.

How do I completely remove the W7 client computer? Thanks!

Edit: It is a wireless W7 client computer, if that has any bearing on the issue.

Search in your installed updates for "Windows Server Essentials Connector" and remove it.  Reboot and you will be good to go.

Thanks jmwills, that did it!

Thanks to oj88 too, reboot is necessary.

Amazing ... I already had thoughts of rebuilding the comp, LOL
