Like every other Lacie Product it looks great!

 

Most likely will break in 3 months but will look good sitting there broken.

Like almost every LaCie product a bit pricy, but well designed an not too expensive compared to other SOHO servers/NAS solutions. I liked their 19'' ethernet disks runing xp embedded before I learned to love the WHS - they had much faster SMB access than any other linux based NAS.

Acually there are two versions of the 5big - one WHS based, one with MS storage server 2008.

Some people will still buy a Mercedes when all they needed was a bicycle. I don't know how a device like this can survive in the competitive marketplace but time will tell.

Would rather buy a Drobo FS for that price.

 

Then again I wouldn't pay $2,400 for a macbook pro either so what do i know?
