Hi,

I bought an HP proliant Gen8 G1610T

After hundreds of trials, I can't install an OS. I tryed with OMV, Debian, ... Nothing

I downloaded the ISO and check the MD5 hash and it was ok

I "burn" (i don't know how to translate it in english) the iso on an usb key with Unetbootin or win32diskimager and everithing is ok.

I follow the installation process with a new HDD (and i also tryed with other HDD) and everithing seemed OK. I had no error.

At the end, i took mu key back, and the server reboot (normal) but after, nothing ! It is as if I had nothing !

The server told me that he also did not detect any bones when I try again installation

Help me please... I keep trying for weeks !!!

Here are any screenshots (some are in french).

HDD is configured as AHCI in BIOS?

After iLO upgrade there are glitch with booting from SD card, maybe with HDD is the same. Try to shutdown server and completely remove power for ~10 sec. And then switch on.

Shutdown server. Unplug the power from server or wall. Wait ~10 or more seconds. Plug in and start server.

If it doesn't help, go to the BIOS->System Options->SATA Controller options  and check which mode is active - HP Smart Array (RAID) or AHCI.
Debian doesn't have RAID drivers for HP B120i RAID card. So You need AHCI mode.

However in AHCI mode Microservers' fan will be a bit louder - ~10-15% speed vs 6% speed at idle in RAID mode.

Where do you have the drive installed?

Actually, i only have one drive of 500Go in the first slot.

I will put 3 drive of 1To after.

Now i'm trying the ArnisR's solution

If it works, i would like to use Opernmegavault.

Should i installed directly OMV or is it better to install Debian before ?
