RAM Upgrade

depends on what system (or motherboard) in which you intend to install it. Windows 7 won't care, its what the motherboard and chipset will recognize that matters. Before I buy memory I normally look up the specs on the Crucial or Kingston "RAM selectors" to make sure I understand what my system will and will not accommodate. Form factor, voltage, speed, etc.

Yeah its for the Gen8, I didn't think ECC would come into it, I looked that up and its just for error correcting but slows down the RAM which I would rather it be faster.

Just searched and seen a past post on here for ECC...so annoying I never thought that would of been an issue.

So am I best retuning and getting this? > http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-ValueRam-DDR3-1333/dp/B0064R7LH8/ref=pd_bxgy_computers_img_y

Thanks in advance.
