At work, our security people insist we lock our racks.  So we have a locked rack inside a locked room on a secure floor inside a secure building which is in a secure site.   :rolleyes:

Yep, been there, done that. It's the 6'4" guys with assault rifles, who are guarding the doors, that get me. As I used to say at meetings, it's the inside job by a 'Snowden', or hacking from outside, that are the real threats.

There was also a time when all I needed was this key to gain access to half the racks in clients' datacenters. Proof that there were a lot less psychos back then. :D

Several of the places I worked in had anti-passback entryways. They're a PITA, but they work, and they don't really take that long to get through. They're mostly an issue if you have to pee in a real hurry :)
