Is it wrong that I was half expecting the link to be to a can of DW40?

Otherwise, pretty nice!

Rubbing alcohol anyone?

That cleans rubber well, but it dries out the rollers and can make the problem worse.

Yes, Isopropyl alcohol can be a problem long term.

Nice to see someone else repairing a printer rather than throwing it out.

I'm a trained HP printer technician.  I used to be able to strip and rebuild a Laserjet 4 in an hour.  I still have a 4M Plus, which is probably 20 years old, and it's still printing merrily, though it's getting quite slow, the little Motorola chip struggles sometimes.

I hate seeing people binning printers that just need a little TLC.  Then again, modern printers aren't designed to be repairable like the old ones.

I always tell people, printer manufacturers these days are in the ink business, not the printer business.

That is very true. I use older business class color lasers. They are built much better. HP CP2025 is my current favorite.

Yepp.. Consumables is where the money is.

They'd probably give the printer for free. But they won't do that cuz it's too obvious. :D
