Task Scheduler weird error

Whenever I open up Task Scheduler in WHS2011, I get the following pop-up:

TaskSchedulerError1_zpsydtrjypg.png

Clicking OK then reveals another error in the Task Status and Active Tasks panes: "Reading Data Failed"

TaskSchedulerError2_zpsakwp20vh.png

It's been like this for as long as I can remember. Task Scheduler works fine otherwise, that's why I didn't feel that it's something very critical.

Anyway, I just decided to put this up here and would appreciate any leads to fix this.

It certainly sounds like the Task Scheduler thinks there's a task that no longer exists: i.e. it's been deleted or otherwise removed. My first guess would be that the index of tasks still has an entry that points to the non-existent task.

Check the Event Viewer, see if it indicates something.

Otherwise, go through ALL the folders manually, and see if you can find the problem task.

Another situation where I wish MMC had a proper search function.
