HellDiverUK
Just picked up this (I've no idea why, but it's a bargain): http://www.ebuyer.com/670719-lenovo-thinkserver-ts140-4gb-xeon-e3-1226-v3-3-3ghz-tower-server-70a50022uk TS140 with the E3-1226v3, 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD for £274.99 after cashback. I've never seen the 1226v3 in a TS140 until now.
schoondoggy
Just picked up this (I've no idea why, but it's a bargain): WHAT! Think of the money you saved by buying this! If you buy another you would save twice as much!
Joe_Miner
Wow, great deal but why stop at two? Do they have a deal with the E3-1286v3?
HellDiverUK
Heh, due to a power surge, my mother's PC just exploded, so I'm thinking my current server (i3-4350 on a B85 board) might end up as her new machine, and I'll shuck the TS140 and stuff it in the big case I had planned the AsRock C226 WS (which arrived damaged in the post). ikon
I'm surprised you don't have all your PCs on UPS HellDiverUK.
HellDiverUK
I do. I don't live with my mother...
Joe_Miner
@HellDiverUK my apologies for my earlier post -- this being April 1st I was expecting an April Fool's Day follow-up so I wasn't paying close attention. The Xeon E3-1226v3 is a good performance boost over the E3-1225v3 and a great deal. Looking forward to hearing more what you do with it when it arrives! ikon
I do. I don't live with my mother... I was just a little surprised because I make sure my family members, wherever they live, have their computer(s) on UPS.

I was just talking to your relatives, they disconnected the UPS's after you leave.
ikon
Then why, when the power goes out, do they call me to say the 'power box' was beeping??
