Phlerb 0
Has anyone gotten 4k video to output consistently? I have it hooked up to my 4k Samsung, but it keeps blacking out then coming back. It shows ok for 3-10 seconds, then the screen goes black. I did have to VNC into the server and select 30p as the output, as the 23 auto selected would not display on the Samsung. Is this due to the onboard video? or maybe the TV? Thanks for any ideas. Phil
ikon 439
How is the computer connected to the Samsung: HDMI? Other? If it's HDMI, is it possible you're experiencing HDCP issues?
HellDiverUK 99
Probably Intel's terrible drivers at fault.

schoondoggy 895
What is the OS? Are you running the latest drivers from Intel?
Phlerb 0
Sorry, Here are the server details: Os: windows 8.1 64 bit Connection: Display Port out with a DP to HDMI adapter from Amazon, to HDMI in. Intel drivers, version 10.18.10.3412, which seem to be the latest according to the Lenovo site http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/servers/thinkserver-tower-servers/thinkserver-ts140?tabName=Downloads I wouldn't think HDCP would play into this scenario. Thanks Phil
HellDiverUK 99
I can't help but think the DP to HDMI adapter is going to cause issues. I don't have a 4k screen, or I could check it here.
schoondoggy 895
The cable would need to support HDMI 1.4. Intel has newer drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=24596&lang=eng&ProdId=3720 The CPU in your TS140 determines which graphic controller you have. Phlerb 0
I have the i3 variant, and I have tried 2 different cables, I will try the new drivers now. thanks Phil
schoondoggy 895
You should also check with Lenovo support to confirm that the TS140 supports the resolution you are trying to get.
