Disk planning

Hi!

Im planning to buy the microserver and upgrade with a Intel Xeon E3 v2 processor, more ram and a SSD-disk to use in the ODD.

Main goal is virtualization and I´m not sure wether going for ESXi or Hyper.V. First I aimed to have 4 WD red disc at 3TB each. But my budget is limited so I will have to try resuse discs I already have.

I´m having two seagate 1TB, one WD 2TB just laying around. In my nas (which is in use) I have ine 2TV disc, That nas is syncing data to a WdMyBook with a disk at 3TB. If doing win server 2012R2 storage spaces might be the best option? Pherhaps noisy since that´s an issue when notr running raid?

Any good ideas on using my disk in best way? The SSD is plnnaed to use för VMguests mostly.

Best regards Daniel
