russbean 0 Posted January 26, 2015 I bought the Xenon processor version of this microserver hoping to use it as an HTPC, but I'm having trouble with the audio. Using a display port to HDMI adapter to my LG receiver is only producing 2 channels. Is this microserver only capable of 2 channel output? Will I need to get an audio card to get surround sound? russbean 0 Posted January 27, 2015 Are you running the Intel driver set? http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds036946 I'm actually running this one, as it seems to be the most recent: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/servers/thinkserver-tower-servers/thinkserver-ts140/downloads/DS041648 Are you suggesting I roll back the driver? I'll give it a shot. I don't understand audio. Shouldn't the DP/HDMI just passed the signal to the receiver? Why should it care how many channels it sends on? russbean 0 Posted January 27, 2015 Unfortunately, rolling back the driver didn't help.
schoondoggy 642 Posted January 27, 2015 Actually I would go to the Intel site and grab the newest one.
schoondoggy 642 Posted January 27, 2015 You may want to check with Lenovo to confirm that they support HD audio on the TS140.
