Advisory: ProLiant Servers -CUSTOMER ACTION REQUIRED: System May Stop Responding or May Reboot When Configured With Certain Smart Array Controllers and Running Certain Disk Utilities

 

 

SCOPE

Any ProLiant server configured with any of the following Smart Array Controllers and running a Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2012 operating system:

  • Smart Array B120i
  • Smart Array B320i,
  • Smart Array Px2x or Px3x

I did try the first link, but it took me to a generic HP page rather than the advisory. It appears to work now though. ;)


Nice catch. You can't use CHKDSK?? That's a pretty good gotchya. Lots of people are likely to get caught by that one. At least they have new drivers to fix it on Server 2008 and 2012.
