Personally, I'm not a fan of his. At all....

But a lot of that is because he's "allowed" to break NDA without any consequences.

I know, he is not a likable person, supercilious is the word I would use but he still talks sense as regards MS.

You Drashna are the exact opposite.

Meaning of supercilious.

arrogant, haughty, conceited, disdainful, overbearing, pompous, condescending, superior, patronizing, imperious, proud, lofty, lordly, snobbish, snobby, overweening, smug

I am being a bit hash on Paul.  I apologise.

I will still follow him.

I have been following "Paul Thurrott's SUPERSITE FOR WINDOWS" for forever.  I now find out that he never owned it. Penton (who ever that is) did.  Not that it matters. So he will start a site of his own!

Thanks for the Link -- I like Paul and his writings & analyses and will adding his site to my reference links!

Penton Media is the company Paul works for. Basically, as I understand it, Penton is his publisher.

The opinions about Paul are interesting. He's never particularly irritated me, but that's just me. I do like the fact that he gets on Microsoft's case.

I met him a few years ago at an MVP Conference.  Seemed like a nice guy.

I'm sure he does, but every once in a while he makes some "nice" comments.

Follow his twitter for a while, and you'll see what I mean.

That said, he does have a decent amount of influence, and it is always good to have somebody asking Microsoft the hard questions/get on their case.
