Server 2012 R2 Datacenter cannot access Win8.1 Pro Network Shares

Nope, shouldn't be possible. As soon as you reboot the client system, it should purge the sessions.

The only way it wouldn't is if you cached the credentials.

That or you didn't have a matching account... then it would default to guest.

Thanks Drashna. I was thinking the same, but couldn't recall for sure. And yeah, I think the non-matching account is the issue (that's what Domain are for ;) )

 

kylejwx, I would still do the Credentials Manager thing. It does work, and it could help avoid issues in the future. You don't really want computers accessing shares by using the Guest account.

And that's what the Credentials Manager is for: non-domain networks. ;)
