Technogod
I spent this afternoon troubleshooting an unexpected error message when installing WHS 2011 connector software. After performing an Acronis TI system restore from a previous date the connector software wasn't functioning properly. I uninstalled and reinstalled the connector software and this is when the problem occurred. I examined the ClientCore.msi.log file located in the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Logs folder. I determined error 1920 was the problem. Please save a link to this document. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/3941.sbs-2011-troubleshooting-client-deployment.aspx When I followed the instructions for error 1920 I found a Backup task in the C:\Windows\System32\Tasks directory that had a creation date of 10/14/2014. All other tasks were created today. I deleted this task and BAM! WHS 2011 connector installed. I did get a message saying the backup service wasn't running. I told the connector event viewer to fix the problem and it did. Edited December 28, 2014 by Technogod
