Hyper-V and PowerShell to backup VMs to multiple targets (iSCSI)

I posted an article yesterday with a script that shows how to create your own backup solution using powershell.

I know that there are "solutions" available, but why not bake your own. This is pretty simple to do and can be customized for any need. There are no limits on the number of virtual machines, and the target could easily be changed to a local storage device, or perhaps even a NAS that only uses SMB.

This article shows how to leverage a SAN style setup with the Initiator being a Hyper-V Server and the target is a standard 2012 R2 file server with iSCSI Target role services.

I hope it can be helpful to someone look for a low cost and integrated solution.
