schoondoggy
I have noticed a lot of new in the box SSD's for sale on CL and eBay. General theme is, bought it for a build and did not use it. Prices are good. I like 160GB-180GB SSDs for WHS 2011. Intel made a lot in these sizes. Watch the specs some are SATAII, which is fine for ODD port connections. Used for around $60, but I have seen some go for as low as $45. With limited life on SSD's, used is a concern, but I have not had a used drive die on me so far. schoondoggy
$50-$60 is getting to be the sweet spot for the 180GB. I am starting to see a lot of 300GB Intel 320 series going for well under $100, $85 is common, a couple popped up at $50-$60. The 320 series are SATA II 3Gb/s, but it could be a great booster shot for an old laptop. Another note on Intel SSD's, look at the label closely, a OEM drive from Dell, HP, Lenovo will not have a warranty. A Intel drive will have a warranty.
