Hello All,

I'm looking for a versatile quad NIC that will work with HyperV and ESXi (Untangle too would be great).  I'm looking at this IBM branded Intel NIC on eBay and was wondering if anyone has any input or other suggestions.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/IBM-Intel-PRO-1000-PT-Quad-Port-PCIe-Gigabit-Ethernet-Adapter-39Y6138-39Y6137/151493408058?_trksid=p2054897.c100204.m3164&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140407115239%26meid%3Dd86201f212604c6bb0e52be1828620e6%26pid%3D100204%26prg%3D20140407115239%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D30%26sd%3D251656088515

The price is reasonable and I'm potentially looking at three different physical boxes (so three of these).  Please let me know your thoughts if you have expertise in this area.

Thanks!!

ESXi has always liked Intel NICs out of the box, but you can edit the .ini file and load custom drivers for others.  The bext best to start would be the Hardware compatibility list.
