Fitted it just now 8 internal drives (4x2.5" 4x3.5")   moved the 2.5" esata drive inside and powered it from the internal usb port 13 drives now dont think im gona squeeze much more in   Intel PC

Its taken temps up but still acceptable also they will spindown at some point   with two drives it was around 31-32 for the hitachi and 32-35 for the 7200 rpm seagate its 35 and 39 now

Couldn't help but think of this......

I've probably lost more USB sticks than you have plugged into there lol, do you actually use them all or is it just an example of how much you can have in there over what you actually need?

I didnt actually trust the power supply for the 4 port hub i was using

so decided to get a hub with a decent psu

The amazon 10 port hub psu is 60 watts (19v 3.16a)  so plenty for anything i chuck at it

I use the 3 Backup + Drives that are connected and two of the USB sticks

the other 5 USB Sticks are just there temp to test the stability of the hub

i wasnt expecting them all to work as some of my sticks dont like certain usb ports and hubs

but they are all working nice and stable

Hmmm, might get one of those hubs then as its a PITA to get to the USB3's on the back of the server.

You got a part code for that hub?

for a hub?

all os's support hub's out of the box

by default the usb 3.0 controller has a root hub

the same driver is used for any extra hub's
