quickdry 0
sorry I wasn't more precise, that is correct - it is not showing up in Device Manager. Thanks for the info re: iLo only showing HP suported cards, this little server is an interesting beastie.

ikon 439
No its pci-e 2.0 x2 Thanks. I obviously missed that. Not that it matters in my case. I'm only using my card to do RoboCopies of my data to my NearLine and OffSite external boxes. The only things that get copied are new and changed files, which doesn't take long. Also, the RoboCopy scripts run 1 after the other, so the full throughput of the card is dedicated to each box while it's being updated. Nevertheless, it's good to know that a x2 card exists. Shonk 139
I was thinking about the bracket earlier And came up with a few things 1) Bottom drive screws dont need to be countersunk as they make no contact with anything 2) The bracket will contact at point circled on the first two images which may vibrate So i decided to go back in today and add 3 layers of 3m vhb so they become the contact point and are ofc cushoned whilst i was there i dug out a propper sata to esata cable and wired the power internally freeing up the internal usb port so i decided to strip the drive out of the Samsung G2 Portable and fit it internally
