axoid 9
I think that it was worth it. My wife has a new machine with an up to date OS and isn't locked into a hardware limit that she can't up grade. The new Mac Mini's have the ram soldered onto the boards so it you buy a 4gig machine and then find you need 8gig, you have to replace the whole thing.Plus I get to stick it to the evil fruit corporation. Big Worm 19
The OS setup was complicated and required a lot of Google searching to find the right settings to run the install and then again for the final configuration of the hardware. The graphics card and the wireless networking required special settings and configuration. The only thing that I wasn't able to find a solution for is that only about half of the USB ports work, but over all I'm satisfied. This alone would cause me too say forget it. awraynor 98
My 1st Hackintosh works great for my 4 and year old, using since 2 and 4 respectively. They couldn't quite grasp charms, live tiles and start screens.

Technogod 8
I just ordered OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard. I'm going to install it in a VMware virtual machine. Here's the post on how to do it. http://homeservershow.com/forums/index.php?/topic/8326-low-budget-hackintosh/#entry90688 This seems to be a very interesting website.
