HP Microserver BIOS upgrade

I have an HP Prolient Microserver with BIOS ID 041 version 09/30/2010

I purchased a DVD copy of Windows 8.1 Pro to install on it.
The install just hung until I disabled the onboard NIC in the BIOS.

I saw some posts here indicating that a BIOS upgrade would fix this.

I did a live chat with HP. The tech refused to help me because the waranty has expired. I purchased this server
second hand.

Can anyone confirm that a BIOS upgrade will correct the problem with the on-board NIC and Windows 8.1?

Does anyone have the file(s) that is required to perform this upgrade that you are willing to share?

Thanks for your assistance.

We have seen this issue when trying to install Server 2012 R2 Essentials on a N40L with an older BIOS. So search these forums for the post and links.
