EMail Alerts Task Scheduler

Recommended Posts

Guest techyguyni

As E-Mail alerts have been discontinued within Task Scheduler, I would like to know if there is any other way of getting around this, I don't no anything about power shell so treat this as a beginners question.

I would like to be notified when a user logs onto my server via VPN, I have enabled logging of connections to a specific folder on my server but this is not ideal as I need to constantly login to the server to view the log files.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Paul

I haven't looked, but are you saying that Task Scheduler used to have the ability to send an email when a certain event occurred and now it doesn't?

Right a batch file using bmail to send the alerts nice thing is it works with outlook and gmail. I use this for several alerts like services being stopped etc
