scottbakertemp 0
Is the above list for sophos?
revengineer 20
Yes, I installed the latest version of sophos in a vm and the list is what the licensing page shows. It appears that all the functionality of a real super router is for pay only. As a disclaimer, I only took a cursory look at sophos. If I am wrong please correct me. The in my opinion essential features for a super router are dansguardian aka Web filtering, virus scan and it blocking based on snort ids and openvpn . Sophos only offers one of these for free. ikon 439
I was waiting for you to chime in Drashna. I'm not running Sophos so I couldn't say, but I found it hard to believe that all those features would be disabled in the home edition.
Drashna Jaelre 159
Yeah, exactly. Even more so, if you isntall NO license, then EVERYTHING is activated and enabled. But expires in 30 days. So if you really want to see what it looks like..... However, if you did install a home license and this is what you're seeing, PLEASE contact their support immediately! revengineer 20
It's the home license they emailed me. Here is the portion of the license file identifying the features : [LicenseOptions] Type = 50 RegistrationDate = 09/16/2009 ExpirationDate = Never LicenseMode = ondemand UserLimit = 50 ConcurrentConnections = 32000 Special = Home use only SiteLicense = OFF ClusterNodes = 0 OEM = off It's not worth for me to chase this down to customer support. I have a solution I am happy with, and this excursion was just to educate myself.
ikon 439
It's odd that your says the Type = 50 and Drasna's says Type = Software.

That would explain why nothing works for me. Looks like the options are limited to three years. Does anybody know what happens after that?
