Hello everyone,

I'm trying to choose a graphic card for my N54L.
Went thru the list on http://n40l.wikia.com/wiki/Graphics_Cards and Joe's thread and now I'm trying to decide between these top 3

SAPPHIRE HD 6450 2GB
GIGABYTE N610D3-2GI
MSI R7 240 2GD3 LP

I'm planning to use it under Linux with XBMC on it.

Any advice is highly appreciated.
Thank you !

I ordered a Sapphire HD6450 1GB Graphics Card for my N54L after reading lots of good reviews about it in this machine. I'll be using it much the same as you plan to.

The GeForce GT730 (Kepler GK208), 64bit, 2GB  GDDR3 has TDP only 23w - it should provide maximum ratio in performance per watt for a microserver:

 - general specs: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-730/specifications

 - main differences (Kepler vs Fermi): http://www.geeks3d.com/20140618/nvidia-geforce-gt-730-launched/

The GDDR5 version is good too - but I am not sure if it is worth the extra watts for a microserver GPU.

What did you go for in the end? I was looking for similar, has anyone tried the GT 720 or GT 730s? Both look to be pretty meaty with very low power draw. There's passive versions of both as well.
