Adding drives in B120i

I'm wondering...Would it be possible to expand a single drive to a mirrored raid 1 by adding a hard disk to an existing logical volume?

How would this work? Power off, add drive, reboot, configure array and it will "repair" the array?

Hmmm, that's an interesting question. I know the answer will vary, depending on which RAID card is involved. Will be interesting to read how the B120i handle it.

It is supported on the Smart Array controllers, but I don't think RAID migration is supported on the B120i. You may have to try it to verify.

No you have to setup the RAID mirroring from the beginning, i have tried with one drive and there is no way tyo afterward add another without braking the current array  :-(

If you now someone with a p222 raid card you can do it there :-)
