awraynor 98
I did replace my 495 and went with home built years ago. I like the larger case, video out and easy upgrades. The microservers are hugely popular, but I still like my current box.
yodafett 97
my whs11 box is a home build itx but in I did like the n40l and loving the microsoerver afer the necessary upgrades. the ilo options and form factor is what sold me if I could find a itx case with 4 swappable bays I would stay home build.
ikon 439
If You Were to Replace Your MediaSmart EX495 Today ... I would be sure to get something with onboard video and support for keyboard and mouse

Joe_Miner 254
Gen8, TS140, or Home Build are things I'd look at first (but it's easy for a project to grow from there ) Why's (short list) Gen8 - small footprint; very flexible expansion/upgrade capability; iLO4 TS140 - bigger with more current CPU LGA; 6 SATA III ports; flexible expansion/upgrade capability; Intel AMT Home Build - ultimate flexibility but more work designing but have the option of starting out with cheap/used equipment (like old desktop) and add "stuff" over time Edited August 8, 2014 by Joe_Miner
