How much Watt is ok, for a card?

I think it all depends on what else you're running in the server. If you put a Watt meter on the AC outlet for the server, it should give you a good idea as to how much the server is drawing right now. If it looks like there are more than 85 or 90 Watts not being used (IOW, the server is only drawing about 60 to 65 Watts) you might be OK. It would mean your PSU is running nearly full out but it could work. Typically though, I like a bigger margin than that.

BTW, with that card you might well have to look into extra cooling inside the server.

Ok, thank you for this description.

I will look, which cards, other users build in.

Edit:

I find this one: AMD Sapphire PCIe 2GB R7 240 LP 2xHDMI

It needs 30W and it has 2 x HDMI. Would be a perfect card for me.

30W is certainly a better fit.

If it's passively cooled and you want it quiet, you will need an extra fan...

I installed a minimal graphics card (HD5450 passive, = TDP 19 Watts?) and the sea of sensors measured the heat produced, which caused the system fan to speed up (19-23%) and make more sound. An additional fan near the card worked and reduced the speed back to 6%. It is pretty quiet, but HDDs or PSU fan still make a humming noise.

Hello,

I have to test it. The graphic card, I order, has also a fan on it.

The sound of the original HP fans is for me ok.

Greetings
