Nice work schoondoggy. You are becoming quite the MicroServer modding artist. :)

I did have a thread on optical drives that would work with that bracket., as well as noting the HP cable part number.

If I hadn't already procured the HP one, I'd certainly order yours, SD.  Finding the part was a pain.  Fortunately I already did have the screws from previous laptops.

The store is open!

http://homeservershow.com/schoon

SDM kit includes drive bracket and all screws needed-$23

SOC kit includes ODD clip and screws-$9

Shipping cost; $5.25 US, $19.50 Canada, $23.50 everywhere else.

The small USPS one rate box will hold four SDM and four SOC, for the same shipping cost.

OK, so not only can I thank you for doing this, I can also thank you for keeping the price down. Thanks for doing this for the right reasons (to help and get some beer money) verse get rich at $38 a bracket.

Hat off to ya... Matt

Just bought the $9 SOC...thanks my good man!

would be possible to provide the ODD bracket dimensions (HPE MS Gen8) - I would like to try make it using 3D printer.
