ser_rhaegar 0 Posted February 17, 2014 My warranty was about 3 months off. I submitted a ticket to them and they fixed it for me. Just had to send them the receipt. Mine was off as it was an open box purchase... But they were happy to give me a full 1yr from my date of purchase. This is the page I used to check it and there is a link on the left to open a support case: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/wc/home/

Makes me wonder - are these legitimate codes, or the same as the ones you can find with a simple Google search?
schoondoggy 783 Posted February 18, 2014 I believe they are legit, mine came sealed in HP packaging. I think these come out of large datacenters, my guess is the guy installing HP blade servers just opens one license key and uses it on all. The rest end up getting dumped on ebay. Joe_Miner 254 Posted February 18, 2014 Mine was also sealed in HP Packaging.

Dennis 0 Posted February 19, 2014 My warranty was about 3 months off. I submitted a ticket to them and they fixed it for me. Just had to send them the receipt. Mine was off as it was an open box purchase... But they were happy to give me a full 1yr from my date of purchase. This is the page I used to check it and there is a link on the left to open a support case: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/wc/home/ Here's where this stands: The seller from whom I purchased this, sold in good faith that the server has standard warranty. I went to HP as advised. HP's suggestion was that the original purchaser - the one who actually received from HP - should contact HP about the warranty because HP may not warrant the systems equally depending upon who purchased (!!!!!!!). This representative claimed that he will call back within 24 hours, and if not resolved, will escalate the case with HP. Since "my" seller didn't buy from HP - but rather from NewEgg.com - we have opted for the "wait until tomorrow" route. I'm convinced this'll be resolved - the seller seems as interested in this as I - but I'm not sure what shape the resolution will take.
