Setup and install of the Thecus N2310

Your experience so far is not any different from my experience with my Thecus N4200ECO.  The OS is unrefined and really lacks the polish of their primary competitors (Synology and QNAP).

It will be interesting to see what happens if you pull a drive and it has to rebuild the raid (assuming you have the drives mirrored).  I guess it doesn't give you the option of JBOD?

I didn't have much of a chance to configure! I chose the top option to get a screen shot and was going to go back and do manual setup to get those screen shots and it didn't like that move. I'll goof with it a while and then wipe it and redo it. I think It's mirror, run 2 disks or JBOD though.  Will find out!

I do think it's interesting that a NAS gives the option of running Windows, Mac, or Linux as the OS. I don't believe many of them do that.

Great Post!  That Thecus N2310 looks like a very interesting machine.  Looking forward to hearing more about that in the future!
