HP Microserver Gen8, HDD trouble

Hello everyone,

I have a question about the microserver gen8, witch i recently bought.

Currently i have 1 HDD in the server, and made 1 logic volume of it in the array tool.

The power settings are set to medium so a mix between power and power saving.

Now i installed ESXi on the server and installed 1 machine.

But the ESXi and the virtual machine are very slow, and the virtual machine uses 100% of the disk.

Coming from the N40L microserver i never had this problem with an HDD.

Any ideas why it's so slow?

Are the power settings the problem?

Is the HP array logic volume the problem?

I don't have much time to troubleshoot, so hoping some of you have had the same problem.

current setup:

Gen 8 microserver.

G1610T

16GB memory

1 150GB HDD (used this drive in my old setup, only this one is new)
