ikon
It could be that 1 of the drives is giving you grief. You need to ensure that all 4 of the drives are individually good. What I mean is, attach each of the Reds, one at a time, to another PC, and ensure they are each discoverable and useable. My ideal way to do this is to put a drive into a USB 'toaster' dock, like this: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001642. ikon
OK, I guess that rules out any DOA drives. Have you tried just using 1 or 2 drives, you know, as a test? Also, I don't know if this applies, but did you try any of the drives before they were partitioned and formatted? I assume you did, but just want to be precise. ikon
Sorry, can't help with that. I don't have a G8 box to play with (I've only set up a Gen8 DL360p and that was strictly a WS2008r2 + SQL Server 2008r2 setup, and it came with all the SAS HDDs already installed). Hopefully, someone else can chime in.
