WD green drives have been reported as problematic in RAID configurations by various people. I suspect the energy saving Intellipark feature is the culprit. For the EARS and EARX drives you are in luck and you can disable Intellipark using WD IDLE 3 (google is your friend). While not explicitly mentioned in the readme, this software works on the above drives. For EZRX you may be out of luck; I have seen posts elsewhere that WD IDLE is incompatible with these drives although I have not verified this myself. You could try disabling the parking for the EARS and EARX drives and see if they still drop from the RAID.

^^ What he said. I have found that, over time, the Greens develop bad sectors much faster than Reds, Blues, Blacks, etc.
